My brave, handsome Edward.
I have quite endured enough. I am afraid I will be forced into taking things into my own hands.
Imbeciles. Incompetent, indigent, illiterate imbeciles. My patience is not endless, and I am quite at the end of it.
Being incarcerated was awful enough, but the fact that he had to be indulged to gain us emancipation. Just intolerable. Not to mention we had to traffic with the absolute lowest, bottom-feeding pond scum imaginable to aid us in escaping from Sing Sing. I thought I had seen the last of New York’s underbelly. I was sorely mistaken, thanks to him.
Perhaps this distraction that takes us to the Observatory the ignorant locals believe is haunted might indulge some small fraction of my skills and interest. Perhaps, but I doubt it.
I cannot wait until I see high society again.
Yours as long as love shall last,
Caitlyn Elizabeth Stirge
